14k gold filled metal is made by pressure bonding multiple layers of 14k gold over another base metal, such as brass or copper, using extreme heat. Gold fill is not the same as gold plating, it contains far more real gold. Gold-filled metal is required to have a minimum of 1/20th (5%) gold by weight, making it more valuable than gold plated metal. Gold filled metal also retains its colour for longer that gold plated metal.
This range is named after Iris, who was the Greek goddess of rainbows and messenger of the gods, and was also known as one of the goddesses of the sea and the sky.

The hoops measure approx 42mm in width or 55mm including the beading, and they are 60mm in length (including the beading).
